Technical Consultant – Sydney
Before I joined Fred in 2009, I worked in IT/Telecommunication for over 14 years in Australia and China as a network designer, system administrator and implementer of computer networks for customers ranging from telecom carriers to home owners. Working at Fred has extended my experience to the pharmaceutical area which I find both interesting and challenging. As a Technical Consultant my duties involve supporting, maintaining and installing Fred systems for our clients. A typical day is always busy and fulfilling. I particularly enjoy working with Fred as the atmosphere is dynamic, the team work is supportive, and we work towards a common goal in providing customer focused services. |

Quality Assurance Test Lead - Melbourne
I had been working in retail pharmacy for 6 years prior to joining Fred. It was great to embark on a new career that utilised the knowledge I’d gained in pharmacy while providing an opportunity to acquire experience in the IT Industry - which to be honest was an industry completely foreign to me at the time! I worked in the Fred Help Team for 3 years before accepting a role in Fred’s Development Department. Along the way I’ve gained experience in many areas of the business including software support, communications, documenting, facilitating and implementing product knowledge, software release management and software testing. These acquired skills have led to my current role where I’m able to apply my expertise across multiple products. Over my 9 years with Fred there’s always been the opportunity to learn something new. I work with a great bunch of people who genuinely care about the quality of the work they produce and what they can achieve. It’s that attitude that really makes this a great place to work and keeps me excited about my future with Fred. |

Matt Pegg
Systems Development Consultant - Ballarat
I've spent the last 3 ½ years with Fred working on one of our core products, Fred Dispense - the market leader for pharmacy drug dispensing and management systems, running in thousands of pharmacies around Australia. A typical day would see me participating in our agile development team analysing, designing and coding solutions for all manner of projects including online patient care programs and eHealth initiatives. Working on medical software solutions in general has proven to be a very challenging and rewarding experience. You know that the person who is going to benefit most from your efforts will be a patient with their own issues - and your work can have a meaningful impact on their lives. Fred is always pushing to improve the way we do things and seeks and values the opinions of their staff. The company is pro-active on personal development, and has a permanent program in place to help improve your skill sets, both personally and technically, and stay current. In my time, Fred has proven to be a fantastic, extremely supportive and engaging company to work for. |
